Through The Gardens To The Sand

Meander through the Chine Hotel’s private gardens and you’ll arrive at Bournemouth beach.

Our garden entrance opens out by the historic Boscombe pier. From here you can set up a beach-camp for the day or hop on the land train to be whisked off to Bournemouth pier in the centre of town.

Or if you don’t fancy getting sandy toes then our private gardens are a quaint spot to spend the day. With three acres of landscaped lawn and woodland in the perimeter of the hotel, the gardens are an enclosed space for kids to runaround and explore.

As part of your holiday experience, the Chine Hotel offers a complimentary programme of activities during the main *school holidays for our younger guests. Delivered by our professional and lively bunch of in-house entertainers – the Funsters.

Kid's Club

Our very popular Kid’s Club is open all day, everyday. It’s a great place to make new friends and features creative play, high-energy games and garden parties! Suitable for children aged 4 and over.

Art Pad

Our dedicated activity shack nicknamed ‘Art Pad’ is a stimulating place for messy fun.

Head here during the afternoon and you’ll stumble into activities such as colouring competitions, origami classes and clay model making. It’s a great way to keep the kids (and parents) of all ages engaged and learning, evening during school holidays.

The kids club staff are engaging and fun, and it is lovely to be able to have dinner in peace in the dining room while the children are being entertained elsewhere. Our 8 years olds felt completely at home, and (being half term) there were plenty of similarly aged children for them to play with.

The adults relaxed in the spa which was clean and quiet whilst the children enjoyed the Funster's entertainment package set within the hotel. Both children were settled in within minutes and hated leaving after our 4 days begging us to stay longer. I can't thank them enough for caring for out children so well.

Teen Zone

We know that lounging around by the pool, topping up tans and reading books in the garden all day is sometimes not everyone’s cup of tea.

The Teen Zone offers an afternoon club of entertainment* for our older (cooler) guests. It’s a great place to make new friends and enjoy new experiences, featuring pool tournaments, dartz and dance classes. Suitable for teens aged 12 and over.

Tricky Tree House

The Chine Hotel also features an indoor soft play area. A safe and fun place for children under seven years old to explore rain or shine.
