Bournemouth’s many luscious gardens are a great place to cool down and can make a fun change from building sandcastles. Pack a picnic, bring a book and grab a green spot in more than 2,000 acres of lovingly landscaped garden.
Whether you want to sunbathe in the Summer or enjoy a Winter walk – here are our two favourite local gardens…
Boscombe Chine Gardens
Just around the corner from the Chine Hotel, this Victorian style garden is bursting with colour. With many varieties of flowers and trees, plus if you’re lucky you can also spot some wildlife scuttling around. Very family friendly with crazy golf and a small water themed play area.
Bournemouth Lower, Central and Upper Gardens
Meander your way from Bournemouth pier, through the trees to the town’s shopping area. These gardens hold wide open spaces with colourful floral displays and pine tress. Occasionally, you can hear live music from the Pine Walk Bandstand and see an array of rare birds in the Aviary. Hop on the Bournemouth Eye for a birds eye view over town and out to sea.
